Main Functions:

1. , Monitor Mail Sending/Receiving:
LaneCat can make real-time records of all the sent or received mails in the LAN (pop3/smtp protocol). Meanwhile, LaneCat will detect and record the following information: Ethernet card MAC address, IP address, sending/receiving time, mail subject, sender/receiver, attachment, mail contents and size. also monitor mail sent through Web mail such as yahoo, Gmail, Tom, Hotmail, etc.

2. Monitor Web Page Browsing:

All web pages (including page title, page content, associated website, etc) browsed by monitored computers in the LAN can be recorded by LaneCat. Operator can view these records in the format of web page snapshot.

3. Monitor File Transmission through FTP:

LaneCat can monitor/record all upload and download in LAN through FTP in real time.

4. Monitor Cyber Chat:
LaneCat can detect and make records of chat software, including following information: chatter, chatter ID, chatting duration. Lanecat can monitor chatting content and file transmission through MSN or Skype.

5. Traffic Monitor and control:

User can view instant network flow and its history and set data flow limitation easily by LaneCat.

6. Monitoring on Network Gaming;

LaneCat can monitor all computer network gaming. User can make user-defined game monitor scheme also.

7. Self-defining Monitoring:

The LaneCat user can define the monitored network application, such as BT and FlashGet;

8. Port-level Control on Internet Access:

It includes: website browsing control, mail sending/receiving control, chatting control, gaming control, self-defined behavior control, and port-level control. All the control can be specified to 3 layers objects (network, group, and computer), specific time period, and specific protocol TCP/UDP.
a、 It can prohibit web page browsing and setting web page White list and Blacklist;
b、 It can prohibit mail sending/receiving and setting mail server White list and Blacklist;
c、 It can prohibit cyber chatting and setting list for controlled chatting behavior;
d、 It can prohibit network gaming and setting list for controlled gaming behavior;
e、 User can define the control list for software such as network stock trading and launch the block;
f、 It can make strict control on all ports of whole UDP/TCP network segment and support function of black/White list;

9. Other Functions:
a. Content Filtering: full, partial or none monitoring on application, website filtering function through black/White list;
b. IP and MAC Bonding: MAC address modification forbidden, all IP address modification forbidden, partial IP address modification forbidden, and prevent unauthorized user to access the network resource;
c. User Management: group adding and deleting, user name modification, group-locking refreshing, monitoring object setting;
d. With C/S management mode and support multi-level access management. LaneCat support separation of engine from client program and support multi-user connection thus endow different user with different authorization. It support remote management and viewing if an external fixed IP is available;
e. Multi-platform Monitoring: the monitored computer's OS can be Unix, Linux, etc;
f. One host installation and whole network management: it is not needed for software installation on every monitored computers;
g. Support compressing, backup and recovering on intercepted content;
h. Support multiple network segments monitoring;
i. All kinds of monitor reports and provide printing function;
j. Monitoring, intercept and record on all outgoing activities through HTTP such as web page attaching, BBS word input and WEB mail.
